Why Quran Tells Women To Do Hijab?

The reason why Hijab is prescribed for women is mentioned in Quran in Chapter no. 33 Surah Al-Azhab Verse no. 59.

“O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing women that they should cast their outer garments over heir persons (when abroad); that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such) and not molestated. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful”(Quran 33:59)

The Quran says that Hijab has been prescribed for the women so that they are recognized as modest women and it will also prevent them from being molested.

Islam is NOT a Religion of Oppression!! The Women who observe the Hijab or Niqab are FULLY PROTECTED. For the Women are commanded in the Quran to Cover their bodies as it is a mean of protection from the wandering lustrous eyes of immoral Men...Their BEAUTY is for their HUSBANDS ONLY - Who are their Protectors.
